The Marvel card collector's community and artists have one thing in common beyond their love for comic heroes... helping kids who are overcoming challenges. That's why All Kids Thrive & Christie a.k.a. "Sanam Slabs" of Washington, a well-known Marvel card "breaker" organized a charity event with donated cards, sketch cards and Marvel T-shirts to raise money for kids undergoing mental health difficulty. 

In our Nation's rural Emergency Departments, Pediatric care centers and specialist clinics it can be difficult to access care and healthcare providers when so many kids need help. All Kids recognizes the size of this issue. 

Toni, AKT Director, shared "We wanted to offer some relief in a tangible way quickly to just give kids a distraction and a reason to smile and dream. Many of us can identify with the coming of age and overcoming hardship stories of our favorite comic characters. These donated funds came from a community of adults who can relate." 

Christie Sanam organized the card donations and reached out to artists for their original artwork donations.   She shared on-stream some of the personal reasons the event meant so much to her. 

The proceeds from the collector buyers will go to toys, sensory items, and recreational (kid-friendly) comics and cards for kids who need a simple distraction from heavier issues and who may welcome an escape from time to time.
